Cooper and Jordan School, South Staffordshire

The school had two projects to carry out.  The first was for a metal and polycarbonate shelter to be installed against the school building to provide a covered area for children to play and parents to wait.  The shelter was 7.5m x 4m in blue steel.  The second project was to enhance the prayer area within the school by removing the existing fencing, bushes and slabs.  The new area had a new picket fence to zone the area, a new Maxim Shade Canopy and resin bonded rubber bark.  Once these were in place, we installed two small benches under one of the trees, timber planters for planting and two of our recycled plastic picnic benches with colourful game tops.

The new shelter now provides a protected pathway to go from the school building to the storage unit as well as an outdoor play space for the children to play during wet weather.  The shelter allows natural light to still flood into the area maintaining a bright space.  The shelter was powder coated in blue with red vinyl post protectors to add a splash of colour.

The new rubber surface provides all-weather access to the area.  The fencing around the area has a gate at the rear to allow access into the prayer area.  The benches and planters were added to the area to provide a waiting and playing space under the canopy.
